What a treat to come back to find Aileen Clarke's Craft

Work on Gill Pinkney's Felt Facebook Page!I Absolutely

Love it!

Aileen Clarke Crafts is a small cottage industry run from her home in rural Fife in Scotland. She makes a wide range of textile art cards, textile wall art, jewellery and other pieces. She enjoys working with shimmering and iridescent fabrics using a heat process to make collage seascapes and landscapes. She also uses wet felting and needle felting techniques combined with stitch to produce unique fabrics for cards, jewellery and decorative pieces.
Much of her inspiration comes from her love of rural Scotland and the west coasts and islands of Scotland and Ireland. She also has a passion for texture and colour and often collects hand spun, hand dyed yarns on her travels to include in her work. She also tries to reuse old clothing where possible. Denim, tweed, cotton and woolly jumpers are often put to good use as background pieces or backing fabrics.
